We’ve Received A $25,000 Shared Table Grant from Chick-fil-A!
We’re grateful to share that Taste & See Local has been awarded $25,000 in community funding from Chick-fil-A to support our ongoing work in food recovery and distribution.
This investment comes at a time when the need for reliable food access continues to grow across Washington County and surrounding rural communities. Each week, Taste & See Local serves over 500 families and distributes more than 130,000 pounds of food each month through a network of donors, volunteers, and community partners.
Chick-fil-A’s support will help strengthen that work, ensuring we can continue recovering food six days a week, maintaining essential operations, and expanding our ability to reach families who may not be able to access traditional food pantries.
A portion of this funding will also support our transition toward more sustainable operations, including an electric vehicle initiative, which aims to reduce transportation costs, improve reliability, and decrease emissions as we deliver food across the region.
At Taste & See Local, our mission is not just to provide food, but to do so with dignity. That means meeting people where they are, whether through drive-up distribution, walk-up access, or deliveries coordinated through case workers, schools, and community partners.
We’re thankful to Chick-fil-A for recognizing the importance of community-based food systems and for investing in a model that prioritizes both access and respect.
